Dr. Kashif Nisar

International Collaborator

Collaborater Dr. Kashif Nisar has done Post-Doctoral from Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. Before, he completed his PhD as a candidate with fully funding at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. Through his major in Computer Network and Information Technology; he has obtained solid training in Research and Development (R&D), writing funding proposal, journal publication, and as a consultant. Currently, Dr. Nisar is serving as an Associate Professor at Faculty of Computing and Informatics University Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu Sabah, Malaysia. In 2014, he has served as a Guest Professor at Fernuniversität Hagen, Germany, fully funded by DAAD. He holds a number of visiting professor positions in well-known universities such the McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, University of Auckland, New Zealand and Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Nisar has been published 150+ research papers in many high impact journals and well reputed international conferences proceeding in the area of Computer Network, Information Centric Network (ICN) and Future Internet (FI). Dr. Nisar is the member of many professional organizations including IEEE, ISOC, ACM-SIGMOBILE, Engineers Australia, APAN Fellow, ITU Fellow, IAENG, NSRG-AUTNZ, Park Lab etc. He has been serving as reviewer in many IEEE Transactions, Elsevier Science and some other journals as well as in the committee and reviewed of many International Conferences.

Engr. Ghulam Mustafa Abro

Engr. Ghulam E Mustafa Abro, MIEEE is an eminent scholar and an academician. He is a certified Professional Electronic Engineer with Masters Degree in ‘Industrial Automation’ by research from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, SSUET, Karachi Pakistan and Bachelors Degree in ‘Electronic Engineering’ from Hamdard University Karachi Pakistan. He possesses a rich teaching experience of more than 05 years and used to teach the courses in the domain of ‘Electrical and Electronic Engineering’, at Undergraduate level based on Outcome Based Education Methodology. Mr. Abro has done several local and international publications too in the field of Digital Image Processing, SLAM Based UGV Designs, Cluster and Regression Methods, Internet of Things (IoT) and specially Modeling and stabilization of underactuated systems. In addition to this, Mr. Abro has been a recipient of various local and international grants. Recently Mr. Abro has been awarded with the special grant on his one of the proposed ideas on post-covid-19 measures. He always takes an active leading role in various conferences, competitions, workshops etc. organized at local and international level. He has been invited to talk on several technical and motivational topics locally and internationally.

Dr. Kapal Dev

Dr. Kapal Dev is Senior Researcher at Munster Technological University, Ireland. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the CONNECT Centre, School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin (TCD). Previously, he worked as 5G Junior Consultant and Engineer at Altran Italia S.p.A, Milan, Italy on 5G use cases. He worked as Lecturer at Indus university, Karachi back in 2014. He is also working for OCEANS Network as Head of Projects to manage OCEANS project processes and functions to improve efficiency, consistency and best practice integration. He was awarded the PhD degree by Politecnico di Milano, Italy under the prestigious fellowship of Erasmus Mundus funded by European Commission. His education Profile revolves over ICT background i.e. Electronics (B.E and M.E), Telecommunication Engineering (PhD) and Post-doc (Fusion of 5G and Blockchain). His research interests include Blockchain, 6G Networks and Artificial Intelligence. He is very active in leading (as Principle Investigator) Erasmus + International Credit Mobility (ICM) and Capacity Building for Higher Edu- cation and H2020 Co-Fund projects. Received a few Million Euros funding and few are in review as well as in the writing phase. He is evaluator of MSCA Co-Fund schemes, Elsevier Book proposals and top scientific journals and conferences including IEEE TII, IEEE TITS, IEEE TNSE, IEEE IoT, IEEE JBHI, FGCS, COMNET, TETT, IEEE VTC, WF-IoT. TPC member of IEEE BCA 2020 in conjunction with AICCSA 2020, ICBC 2021, DICG Co-located with Middleware 2020 and FTNCT 2020. He is also serving as Associate Editor in Springer Wireless Networks, IET Quantum Communication, IET Networks, Topic Editor in MDPI Network, and Review Editor in Frontiers in Communications and Networks. He is also serving as Guest Editor (GE) in IEEE TII (I.F 9.1)COMCOM (I.F: 2.8), GE in COMNET (I.F 3.11), GE in CMC [I.F 4.89.], Lead chair in one of CCNC 2021 workshops, and editing a book for CRC press. He is a member of the ACM, IEEE, and actively involved with various working groups and committees of IEEE and ACM related to 5G and beyond, Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Paul Beckett

Honorary Associate Professor Paul Beckett received the degree of B.Eng. in Communication Engineering, Master of Engineering in Computer Systems and PhD in Microelectronics from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, 1984, and 2007,respectively.

Dr. Beckett recently retired from the School of Engineering, RMIT after an academic career spanning more than 37 years, during which time he held numerous academic positions including Head of Department. He played a leading role in developing curricula for programs in microelectronics, embedded systems, and reconfigurable architectures (e.g., FPGAs). He consulted widely with local and international companies and designed and implemented a number of successful industry-focused post-graduate degrees in collaboration with both the Victorian State Government and local companies. He is a senior member of the IEEE, is an author on over 60 papers and has reviewed extensively for the IEEE, ACM, Elsevier, MDPI, and others.

In “retirement”, he is currently collaborating with groups researching energy harvesting for IOT, plasmonic optical devices and low-energy asynchronous co-processor architectures.

Dr. Abdollah Malekjafarian

Abdollah is an Assistant Professor in the school of Civil Engineering at UCD. He is leading “Structural Dynamics & Assessment Laboratory (SDA-Lab)” in UCD. His main areas of research interest are Structural Dynamics and Random Vibrations for Civil Infrastructure including “Transport Infrastructure” and “Offshore Wind Turbines”. He is also collaborating with CeADAR research centre on the application of data analytics and AI to built environment.

Abdollah won “KB Broberg” medal for “Best UCD PhD Thesis in Mechanics- 2016”. He also won Royal Irish Academy Charlemount award in 2018 for his collaboration with University of Alberta.

Muhammad Ashfaq Khan

Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Khan Jiskani, received the B.S. degree in computer system engineering from Baha Uddin Zakariya University, Multan Pakistan, in 2010, the M.S. degree in Communication System networks (Computer system) from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Dongguk University, South Korea, in 2020.

From 2012 to 2017, he was Instructor in the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC), Education Department, Pakistan ARMY, 18 Div., Hyderabad, Pakistan, After his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Jiskani worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Dongguk University, South Korea from Feb-2020 to Dec-2020. Currently, he is working as a Research Professor in Incheon National University Incheon, South Korea. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, Big data, Network security and medical imaging analysis.
