Prof. Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry
Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry is a Distinguished National Professor and the former Dean Faculty of Electrical Electronics and Computer Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan. His list of research publications crosses to over 60 in national and international journals, IEEE and ACM proceedings in the area of Intelligent Instrumentation, WSN, Embedded systems, simulation & Modelling, Internet Technologies, Smart Civil Structures. He is member of various professional bodies including: immediate past Chairman IEEE Karachi Section, Region10 Asia/Pacific, Fellow IEP, Fellow IEEEP, Senior Member IEEE Inc. (USA), SM ACM Inc. (USA). He organized several International Conferences including “IMTIC08”, “IMTIC12”, “IMTIC13”, “IMTIC15”, “IMTIC18”, “WSN4DC13”, “IEEE SCONEST”, “IEEE PSGWC13”, and track chair in “Global Wireless Summit (GWS 2014), and Chief Organizer and Co-Chair GCWOC’16, GCWOC’17 in Malaga Spain. In 2015, he also organized two weeks ICTP/UNESCO Regional workshop on “FPGA Based Instrumentation Systems”, fully funded by The Abdus Salam ICTP/ UNESCO first time in Pakistan in which scientist from 27 regional countries were invited for participation.
Dr. Tayab Memon
Dr. Tayab Memon received a BE (Hons) Electronics Engineering (First Class) and a PG Diploma Telecommunication and Control Engineering (First Class) from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in 2003 and 2006 respectively. He received PhD from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Melbourne, Australia in 2012. His research interests include embedded systems, FPGA, condition monitoring systems, and fault detection and identification systems. He has published more than 35 research articles in highly reputed refereed international journals/ conferences that are further cited and extended by leading scientists, press of prominent universities. Being HEC approved supervisor, currently 3 PhD and 5 ME/MPhil students and more than 20 ME/MPhil students have graduated in his supervision/co- supervision under the umbrella of signal processing and embedded systems research group. He is serving as Chairman Department of Electronic Engineering, Mehran UET Jamshoro. He is recipient of the NRPU 2017-2018 discovery project No. 8521. He is reviewer for IET Signal Processing, Journal of Signal Processing Systems, MUET Research Journal, FPT’17, MECO’17, ICAEESE’16, ICCEI’16, IMTIC’15, and IMTIC’13. He served as Chief Organizer for the first ever technical workshop (7th- 18th Dec, 2015) in collaboration with the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy titled ‘Asian Regional School on FPGA Design for Scientific Instrumentation’. He has also delivered several invited talks at various universities and conferences.
Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Kalwar
Dr. Imtiaz Hussain received his B.E in Electronic Engineering and postgraduate diploma in Telecommunication and Control in 2004 and 2006 respectively from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan. He completed his PhD at School of Computing science and Engineering University of Salford, United Kingdom. During the year 2005 he worked as an instrumentation engineer at Thatta Cement Factory and Al-Abbas Distillation plant. He joined Electronic engineering department at Mehran University as a lab-lecturer in 2005 and served Mehran University as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Co-Director Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) till August 2017. He is working as an associate professor at DHA Suffa University Karachi and serving as Head of Department Electrical Engineering since February 2018. His current research interests include advanced control and identification and intelligent control systems mainly applied in automotive applications. He has published over four dozen research papers in international journals and conferences and was the recipient of the UK’s second best young researcher in 2012. Engr. Ali Akbar Shah
Engr. Ali Akbar Shah has done masters in Mechatronics Engineering (MUET) and undergraduation in Electronics (MUET). He has total of 9 international publications in Condition Monitoring and Image Processing. Formerly, he has served as Sr. Lab Engineer, Data-center Engineer and Safety engineer in various organizations.
Engr. Dileep Kumar Soother
Engr. Dileep Kumar Soother has received BE in Electronics Engineering and ME in Mechatronics Engineering from Mehran UET Jamshoro. He has one year Trainee Engineer experience at PTCL Hyderabad. He has authored and co- authored 4 international and national research publications. He also has experience of teaching assistantship at Department of Mechatronics Engineering, MUET Jamshoro.
Engr. Ubed Ur Rehman
Engr. Ubed Ur Rehman has done Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering from MUET, Jamshoro. He has work experience as Assistant Project coordinator in ADB funded, he has also worked as Research Associate in various USAID funded projects. He has two International and National publications.
Engr. Khakoo Mal
Engr. Khakoo Mal received his BE in Electronic Engineering and ME in Communication System & Networks from Mehran UET Jamshoro. He is serving as Assistant Professor & incharge principle at IBA-Institutes of Emerging Technologies Khairpur . He is pursuing PhD from Department of Electronic Engineering MUET Jamshoro. He has extensive work experience in the field of Core Networks including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and routine O&M in PTCL.
Engr. Tarique Memon
Engr. Tarique Rafique Memon received BE in Electronic Engineering and ME in Telecommunication & Control Engineering from MUET Jamshoro. Currently enrolled in PhD at MUET and also working as an Assistant Professor department of Electronic Engineering QUEST Nawabshah.
Engr. Abeer Chang
Engr. Abeer Chang has received BE in Computer Systems Engineering and ME in Electronic Systems Engineering from Mehran UET Jamshoro. Currently, she is pursuing PhD in Department of Electronic Engineering, Mehran UET Jamshoro.
Engr. Sanaullah Mehran
Engr. Sanaullah Mehran Ujjan having obtained his B.E Electronics degree from MUET and acquiring expertise in Image processing, Neural Networks and state of the art Deep learning algorithms aims to explore “Potential of Deep learning and Genetic algorithms in Railway Condition monitoring” Under the umbrella of NCRA.
